just a quick one, while time allows.

Every once in a great while, something changes in your life that makes you question certain things.
Usually, you wind up questioning the reasoning behind the changes.

Sometimes, it's as simple as someone reappearing out of the blue.  Someone you'd cared about, someone you'd lost, and someone who's back.
Why now?  Why me?  What do they want? What the hell do I do now?

After such a long time, one might think there'd be a lot of catching up to do, and that's it.
After all... people move on, children become adults, and life happens, and there's little we can do to stop it, and less we can do to alter the course of someone else's life.
 

So, after all of these years, You're meeting someone for the first time, all over again.
And it's the same as it was all of those years ago.
But now, she's with someone else.
And whether or not she's happy is irrelevant.
You don't dare say anything, you don't dare tell her, you don't dare let her know...

...that after all of the years, all of the tears, and all of the fears,

She's still that pretty girl you had the crush on, and you're still that silly young boy who never knew how to say it...

She's beautiful, she's wonderful, she's amazing, she's perfect.

but now she's someone else's.
